Mario Corea will be in Buenos Aires to participate in the forthcoming XII International Biennial of Architecture. Corea (1939) graduated at the begining of the sixties at Rosario National University. He continued his studies in the United States, where he worked at José Luis Sert’s studio and attended a Master at Harvard University. Back in Rosario, he was the architect of urban design at the Great Rosario Prefecture, and served the university teaching, positions that were interrupted as a consequence of the military coup. Then he moved to Spain. Corea set up his studio with architects Edgardo Mannino (1979-1992) and Francisco Gallardo (1979-1998). He dealt with the background of the works conducted by the master Oriol Bohigas, for the celebration of the Olympic Games in Barcelona. In 1992, he made the Olympic Baseball Stadium and the Bellvitge Municipal Sports Center, in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. |
